MURREE/SKARDU/DIR: Twelve girl-students sustained injuries including three in critical condition as their school van plunged into a ravine on new Murree Road on Monday, Geo News reported.

The three critically injured girl-students have been shifted to the CMH Hospital, while the other wounded girls are being given treatment in a local hospital.

A similar unfortunate road accident occurred in Skardu, where a speeding goods transport truck taking a turn on Gilgit Road near Sando fell into Indus River, killing the truck driver, while two persons went missing washed away in the river.

In Upper Dir also a recklessly driven truck fell into river at Vari, wounding five persons.
