KARACHI: The Crime Investigation Department (CID) claimed to have arrested four alleged associates of proscribed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) during a raid in Kemari area and recovered police uniforms, hand grenades and other weapons, Geo News reported Friday.
According to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) CID Raja Umar Khattab, police arrested four alleged criminals, associated with TTP, on a tip off.
He said police uniforms, hand grenades and weapons were also confiscated from the possession of accused.
The SSP further said that arrested accused were also involved in the killings of Awami National Party (ANP) election candidate and his son in Korangi Industrial area, adding that they had targeted six people including two women.
The accused were also involved in grave crimes including robberies in the metropolis, while their 30 percent of money had been used in acts of terrorism, SSP added.
