KARACHI: Dr. Farooq Sattar, Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) parliamentary leader in National Assembly, Tuesday expressed the resolve to cleanse the metropolis of the terrorists and other criminal elements.

Addressing the program of Iftar-dinner arranged on behalf of MQM Chief Altaf Hussain for the residents of Katchi localities here, Dr. Sattar expressed regret over the migration of people belonging to Katchi community to other parts of Karachi due to law and order situation.

He said the unrest in troubled area of Lyari has forced families of Katchi community to relocate to Malir and Khokhrapar. He termed it an unprecedented incident whereby people had to shift to other areas due to criminal elements.

“This is a month for offering prayers, sacrificing for others and showing tolerance,” he said, adding ‘we don’t want to push the city towards anarchy’.
