Lyari community protests outside SC registry

KARACHI: Women belonging to a Lyari community staged a protest demonstration outside the Karachi registry of the Supreme Court on Wednesday.

The protesters carrying placards and banners chanted slogans, demanding an end to violence in Karachi, which forced them to migrate to other parts of Sindh and Karachi.

The women said that their families were not safe in Lyari and peace should be restored in the neighborhood so that they could return to their houses.

Inside the court, a three-judge bench was hearing Karachi law and order suo motu implementation case.
