ISLAMABAD: The election process for head of the state has formally begun as aspirants of contesting presidential election start getting nomination papers.
The Election Commission set July 24 as last date for submitting the nomination forms.
A Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Rana Akram Durrani and four others including Hanif Najamm Muhammad Anjam Saleem, Imran Ahmed and Zahid Iqbal received nomination papers.
The forms are available at the offices of the four high courts’ chief justices and provincial election commissioners.
