Election Commission can’t change date of presidential election: Aitzaz

LAHORE: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Senator Aitzaz Ashan has said that the Election Commission could not change date of presidential election.

Speaking to media on Saturday, he said the Pakistan People’s Party has nominated Raza Rabbani because he hailed from smaller province and there were no corruption allegations against him.

He said prime minister, National Assembly speaker and Senate Chairman belonged to Punjab.

Ahsan said that he would try to convince other opposition parties to support Raza Rabbani in the presidential election.
