Sindh government decides to merge various departments

KARACHI: The Sindh government has decided to reduce the number of its departments by merging different entities.

Sources said Sunday that the number of departments which now stood at 47 would be brought to 39.

The sources said that the government has decided to merge departments of local bodies, housing and town planning, rural development and public health engineering.

The government is likely to issue a notification in this regard within couple of days.
