ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) has taken suo moto notice of electricity loadshedding during Iftar, Taraweeh and Sehri in Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA), Geo News reported Monday morning.

It may be recalled that earlier the Supreme Court had directed Pakistan Electric Power Company (PEPCO) and National Transmission & Dispatch Company (NTDC) to ensure equal distribution of electricity for domestic and commercial consumers.

The apex court had also directed PEPCO and NTDC to make sure that the timing of loadshedding should be equal without any discrimination among big and small cities across the country.
