PTI, JI finalize seat adjustment for KPK by-polls

PESHAWAR: Pakistan Tahreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) have finalized their seat adjustment for by-polls in Khyber Pukhtunkhaw, Geo News reported Monday.

KPK by-polls will be held for national assembly five seats—Peshawar NA-1, Nowshera NA-5, Swabi NA-13, Tank NA-25, and Lakki Marwat NA-27---besides, four seats of the provincial assembly—Mardan PK-23, Mardan PK-27, Hangu PK-42 and Bannu PK-70.

KPK Secretary Information, Israrullah Advocate told Geo News that according to the PTI-JI agreed seat adjustment formula, PTI would support JI candidate for provincial assembly seat Mardan PK-27, while for all other seats JI would support PTI candidates by withdrawing their nomination papers for these seats.
