KARACHI: The guards of this unfortunate mega-metropolis city have shockingly been found themselves to be involved in heinous crimes including robberies, while the authorities in both executive and judiciary brainstorming over the deteriorating law and order situation thus far remained oblivious of this fact.

One such incident also happened in Shah Latif Town in the wee hours today, when the residents of a house foiling the attempt of robbery caught the culprits red-handed, who much to the surprise of the residents turned out to be policemen.

According to details, the people in Shah Latif Town caught two policemen red-handed, while they barging into a house committing robbery, who were thrashed and then handed over to the area police.

Sources said that one of the accused cops was in uniform. Later, the area police said that the accused cops have been identified as Mukhtar and Mohammad Iqbal from whom the looted money has been recovered. An FIR relating to the incident has been registered, while further investigation is in progress, police said.
