KARACHI: Sindh Minister for Information, Sharjeel Memon in a media statement on Saturday said that Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) maintaining its tradition extended its support to the ruling party of the country.
He said it is now hoped that (Prime Minister) Nawaz Sharif would not issue any statement against MQM the next time he pays a visit to Karachi. Sharjeel Memon, however, added that the ‘alliance’ between Nawaz Sharif and MQM would not make any difference to Pakistan People’s Party (PPP).
Memon further said the ‘deal’ between the two parties (MQM and PML-N) had absolved the PPP-led government of the allegations. “It is now hoped that Nawaz Sharif would not give any statement against Ajmal Pahari and the murderers of Wali Babar (the slain reporter of Geo News),” he added.
