President elect Hussain meets Prime Minister Sharif

ISLAMABAD: President elect Mamnoon Hussain met Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif at the Prime Minister House here on Tuesday.

According to sources, Prime Minister Sharif congratulated Mr Hussain on being elected president and said the post was a symbol of the federation. “The parliament and provincial assemblies have expressed their faith in you (Mamnoon Hussain),” Prime Minister Sharif said.

Mamnoon Hussain thanked the party leadership of their faith in him.

Sources add that during the meeting the political situation in the country was discussed. Hussain also attended an Iftar dinner hosted by Prime Minister Sharif for diplomats.
