KARACHI: Two Rangers personnel were injured when a blast hit their vehicle in Manghopir area of Karachi on Wednesday, Geo News reported.

According to Superintendent Police (SP) Orangi Chaudhry Asad, the Rangers mobile was on regular patrol when it was targeted by an improvised explosive device (IED) in Manghopir area.

As a result of the explosion, two personnel received minor injuries and were shifted to hospital for treatment. The injured men were identified as Sub-inspector Khalil and Naik Shakoor.

Security forces reached the spot and cordoned off the area while investigation of the incident is underway.
