ISLAMABAD: Acting Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Justice Tasaduq Jilani Wednesday said that 117 polling stations out of 638 in Lahore have been declared highly-sensitive where troops would be deployed, Geo News reported.

Chairing a meeting in Election Commission Punjab office, Justice Jilani said that administration and election commission would work responsibly to hold peaceful, free and fair by-polls.

He further said that Army would be deployed at all polling stations in Karachi, Lahore and Faisalabad, while Army officials have also been given the powers of grade I magistrate to take immediate action against miscreants.
