KARACHI: Former federal minister ports and shipping and Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader, Babar Ghauri denying allegations of having a role in thousands of NATO containers going missing called upon the judiciary to get the issue thoroughly investigated.

“I am facing allegations of getting 19,000 NATO containers out. No minister can get even a single container out …. only FBR gives clearance to containers,” Ghauri said while talking to media men here on Saturday.

He said the court should get the containers issue thoroughly investigated. “Whatever probe is done, I am ready to face it,” he added.

Babar Ghauri said a conspiracy was being hatched against the MQM. “We respect everyone and in return expect from the opponents to honour our mandate,” he maintained.

He said the downtrodden people of Pakistan including those living in Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur, Mirpur Khas and Nawabshah must not be pushed against the wall.
