Swat: Peace committee member gunned down

SWAT: Unidentified gunmen shot dead a member of a local peace committee in Matta area of Swat, Geo News reported.

Police said assailants attacked peace committee member Akbar Ali as he was returning home after offering Isha prayers in Darshkhela area. He died on the spot.

The attackers managed to escape from the scene.

Following the incident, security forces launched a search operation to hunt the miscreants.
