Many foreigners held in Karachi police raid

KARACHI: Karachi police on Sunday rounded up several foreigners in a raid conducted in Sohrab Goth area, Geo News reported.

Karachi police carried out the raid in Afghan Basti area of Sohrab Goth and took into custody a number of foreign nationals.

The raid enraged the residents of the area who protested the act by coming onto the Super Highway and blocking the road by burning tyres. As a result, long queues of vehicles were formed, causing hardship and delays to the commuters.

Later, heavy contingents of police and Rangers reached the area to control the situation.
