ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court (SC) has ordered the federal government to appoint chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) till September 13, Geo News reported.
The SC was hearing case pertaining to NAB chief appointment here on Thursday.
The attorney general apprised the court that some names for the slot were under consideration.
On this, the chief justice remarked that an appropriate time was given to appoint the NAB chairman. The time has ended, he said and asserted that the slot be filled at the earliest.
The CJ said non-appointment of the NAB chief will create complications.
Later, the chief justice ordered the government to appoint the chairman till September 13.
