Gilani meets Samiul Haq, asks him to play role in son’s recovery

NOWSHERA: Former prime minister Yousuf Raza Gilani met JUI-S chief Maulana Samiul Haq and requested him to play his role in the recovery of Ali Haider Gilani, Geo News reported.

Speaking to media after the meeting, the former premier said wars were not the solution of any issue. He said they will play their role with the government for durable peace in the country.

Commenting on Karachi issue, Gilani said targeted operation was being proposed for Karachi, adding the solution of port city was political and not the military.

Maulana Samiul Haq said the issue of Ali Haider Gilani’s abduction was not a big matter, however, there were some obstacles and some demands.

The Maulana further said if all the stakeholders decided to come out of the war against terror, then the US would not be in a position to mount pressure.

He claimed the purspose of All Parties’ Conference (APC) was to cause delays.
