MQM conveys concerns over targeted operation to Nisar

KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leaders Senator Babar Ghauri and Khalid Maqbool called Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar up and conveyed their reservations in connection with the ongoing targeted operation in the megapolis.

Babar Ghauri told Chaudhry Nisar that some forces were trying to undermine Prime Minister Sharif’s efforts to establish peace.

The MQM leaders complained the operation was being directed at innocent people instead of criminals.

The Interior Minister assured the MQM leaders that innocent people’s arrest, if any, will be investigated and that the city’s peace will be restored by working together.
