Sharjeel warns against giving ethnic colour to Karachi operation

KARACHI: Sindh Information Minister, Sharjeel Inaam Memeon Wednesday warned against giving ethnic or political colour to the ongoing targeted operation in Karachi and sought political parties’ help for the government in its efforts to eliminate terrorism in the port city.

In a statement issued from Sindh Information Department, Sharjeel Memon said the targeted operation backed by secret agencies was being carried out by the police and Rangers and that no particular political party was being mad a target.

“The targeted operation is being conducted only against the criminals and the city will be cleansed of the outlaws,” he clarified.

He said the metropolis cannot be left at the mercy of terrorists and extortionists.
