KARACHI: The deadly hide-and-seek among the law, the outlaws, and the victims, which continued here on Saturday night too, claimed the lives of at least three people and left three more injured amid a major arrest, Geo News reported.

According to police, in one such incident of violent crime, unknown assailants opened fire on a drug den in Rehri Goth area of Landhi Town, killing two and injuring three others.

SSP Nasir Aftab said that either an extortion-related dispute or turf war might have led to the armed attack.

The dead and injured were taken to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for medico-legal formalities and treatment.

In a similar incident a man was gunned down near Utility Store in Gulistan-e-Jauhar. He and his killers remain unidentified as yet.

Bloodshed was not the only order of the night as a proclaimed offender, who was an absconder as well, was apprehended in a raid on a flat in Clifton Block-4. The police said the accused, Ghulam Rasool, was a drug dealer from Sharafi Goth and had gone underground to evade arrest.
