KARACHI: Saving Karachi from possible peril, the bomb disposal squad Saturday night successfully defused a bagful of hand grenades, Geo News reported.

Reportedly, Rangers personnel, who were on a routine patrol, spotted an abandoned bag lying casually near an Aga Khani community’s residential society in Metroville and called in the bomb disposal unit.

Upon opening the bag, the bomb-defusers found out it was full of hand grenades, which they defused successfully.

The Rangers and police also conducted a search operation in the area before clearing it, however no arrests were made.
