PESHAWAR: Former law minister, Babar Awan Thursday said the government did not seemed to be taking the process of dialogue with the Taliban seriously, as no team has so far been constituted to hold the proposed talks, Geo News reported.
Talking to media persons outside Peshawar High Court, Awan said even after 150 days of coming into power the incumbent government is yet to appoint ministers for Law and Defence.
He said Imran Khan, Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has been given a public mandate in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and ‘we respect the same’. “Imran Khan should be authorized to make a decision in connection with the Taliban peace talks,” he added.
