ISLAMABAD: Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan Tuesday said the people are being made to pay the cost of irregularities and ineligibility (on part of the government), Geo News reported.
“The middle class is being targeted by making an extra-ordinary hike in electricity tariff,” Imran Khan regretted in a statement issued here, adding the fresh increase will double the amount of bills of the power consumers.
He said there was no justification for jacking up the oil prices, as the commodity’s rate has witnessed a decline in the international market.
The PTI chief said the government was committing a violation of its mandate by backtracking on the promises it had made to the people.
He said his party would raise its voice against the government’s steps in the parliament and also across the country.
