KARACHI: Six alleged terrorists of a banned outfit were killed in two separate encounters at Hub River road and Manghopir on Wednesday morning here, Geo News reported.

According to details, two terrorists of a banned outfit were killed in a joint operation conducted by the police and Rangers and three hand grenades, three ball crackers, and a 9mm pistol were recovered from them. The bodies of the terrorists were shifted to the hospital for medico-legal formalities. Further investigation was in progress.

Earlier, four alleged terrorists were killed in an encounter between CID personnel and the activists of the banned outfit, while two CID officials were injured on Hub River road.

According to details, CID police said that on a tip-off about an explosive laden vehicle was on way to Karachi near Lucky Pahari on Hub River road, they rushed to the place as informed, while the terrorists having seen the police started firing that injured two CID officials Jamal and Sardar and in retaliation four terrorists were also severely wounded, who later succumbed to their injuries on way to the hospital.

CID Officer, Chaudhry Aslam told geo News that the terrorists killed in encounter were identified as Mohmand Agency banned outfit Tehreek-e-Taliban’s Amir Abdul Rahman alias Lamboo and Naib Amir Arif alias Sajjad Chota alias Dr. Maqbool, Commnader Mohammad Ghani alias Mudassar, Commander Mohammad Siddique alias Mohammad Sami alias Kashif.
