KARACHI: Five persons lost their lives in firing and other violent incidents across the metropolis on Wednesday, Geo News reported.

According to police, three persons were gunned down by unknown attackers while a man killed his wife along with her paramour.

Details have it that a man identified as Zahid was killed while a women, Maryam sustained injuries when unknown gunmen opened fire in Muhammadi Colony area of Machar Colony. Police told that the incident is the result of resistance over robbery.

A man was also killed when unidentified assailants opened fire near a bus stop in New Karachi.

A body of a man bearing bullet shots was found from Kalakot area of Lyari while a man named Rasheed was injured in firing that took place in Korangi.

Two persons including a woman were killed in a house in North Nazimabad over suspicion of having illicit relationship. Police apprised that the incident involves deceased woman’s husband who killed her along with her lover, and later fled from the scene.
