Karachi: Eight accused arrested, two wanted criminals killed

KARACHI: The police and rangers carried out target operation in number of areas of the metropolis, arresting eight accused and killing two most wanted criminals in an encounter.

According to DSP Baghdadi Ghulam Murtaza, the police and rangers conducted joint operation in Daria Abad area of Lyari where exchange of fire took place. Two wanted criminals involved in various incidents of target killings, gang wars and kidnapping for ransom were killed in the encounter.

Meanwhile, SP Orangi Chaudhry Asad said that seven suspects were detained in an operation that conducted in Frontier Colony.

DSP Tairq Mughal said that 6 absconders and one proclaimed offender were arrested from Mehmoodabad area. Recovered firearms were also seized in the operation, he added.

ASP Asfar Mahesar said that anti warrant crime cell carried out raid in a hotel located in Gulistan e Jauhar and arrested a target killer, Abbas Ali, involved in the target killings of 12 people.
