Target killer involved in murders of 12 persons arrested in Karachi

KARACHI: A hardened target killer involved in the murders of 12 persons was arrested, while two accused wounded in police encounter were also captured in Gulistan-e-Jauhar area on Sunday morning here, Geo News reported.

Besides, 14 persons were rounded up from Mahmoodabad and Frontier Colony.

SSP Azfar Mahesar said that Anti-Violent Crime Cell in an action arrested a target killer Abbas Ali involved in the murders of 12 persons and recovered weapon from him in Gulistan-e-Jauhar here.

While one wounded accused in police encounter at Sikandar Jamali Goth adjacent to super Highway was captured. Similarly, one accused was arrested in injured condition after an encounter at Sharifabad in Korangi Industrial Area.

Orangi Town SSP Chaudhry Asad said that 7 suspects were taken into custody during police operation at Peerabad in Frontier Colony.
Similarly, 7 suspects including 6 absconders and one proclaimed offender were arrested during police raid in Mahmoodabad.
