DGK encounter with dacoits leaves two policemen killed

DERA GHAZI KHAN: The police Tuesday morning launched an operation against the proclaimed dacoits in the hilly areas here, following an encounter on Monday afternoon that had left two policemen dead and one injured, while the injured policeman is still in the captivity of the dacoits, Geo News reported.

Police sources an all out operation has been launched against the dacoits for their arrests and to get the injured captive policeman released from the dacoits. The dacoits are on the run in the hilly areas, while the police continue chasing them and in the process trading fires with the dacoits.

Earlier on Monday afternoon, two sub-inspectors Irshad Ahmad and Mujtaba were killed in an encounter with the dacoits, while one policeman and one dacoit were injured.
