13 arrested during operation in Karachi

KARACHI: Thirteen persons including a gang war accused, car and motorcycle lifter were arrested during targeted search operation in Karachi, Geo News reported Wednesday.

According to the sources, police conducted raid in five different places and held 29 persons while different types of weapons were also recovered.

During a raid near Sabzi Mandi, two accused were arrested while two TT pistols and a snatched car were also seized from their possession.

A search operation was also conducted in Sohrab Goth areas and apprehended ten suspects. The action was taken after getting a tip off regarding the presence of banned outfit members in the area.

In an operation conducted in the wee hours of Wednesday near Super Highway, two accused involved in drug dealing were arrested while drugs were also seized from their possession.

On the other hand, SP Orangi Chaudhry Asad told that two accused were arrested after an encounter that took place in Manghopir. Twelve snatched motorbikes and a car were also recovered from their possession.

DSP Tariq Mughal told that eight persons including two absconders and two accused involved in street crimes were arrested during operation in different areas of Mehmoodabad. Two revolvers and drugs were also seized.

Police also arrested a gang war accused named Asif aka Chotu from Jackson area of Keamari during a late night raid.
