ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) will hear the petition, filed to prevent former dictator General (retd) Pervez Musharraf from leaving the country by including his name in the exit control list (ECL), Geo News reported.

Petitioner in Abdul Rasheed Ghazi murder case, Haroon Rasheed stated that Musharraf’s name should be put in the ECL as it has been learnt that he intends to leave for Dubai before Eid.

He further contended that like former ambassador to the US Hussain Haqqani, Musharraf’s chances of returning to the country will fade if he leaves the country.

Moreover, Haroon Rasheed pleaded the court to order police to conclude the investigations.

The SC on Wednesday granted bail to former president Pervez Musharraf in the murder case of former Balochistan chief minister and chieftain of the Bugti tribe Nawab Muhammad Akbar Bugti.

Meanwhile, Musharraf has been arrested in the murder case of Abdul Rasheed Ghazi.

The case was registered against him on September 02 on the directions of the Islamabad High Court (IHC).
