ECP fails to issue MPs suspension notification

ISLAMABAD: The notification regarding suspension of parliamentarians’ membership for not submitting the details of their assets could not be issued yet.

According to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Secretary Ishtiaq Ahmed Khan, 40 parliamentarians have not yet submitted the details of their assets. He said that the notification regarding their suspension could not be issued as the ECP has not yet approved it.

He said that the notification in this regard would be issued tomorrow.

The ECP secretary further said that the matter pertaining to election of PCB Chairman would be discussed in tomorrow’s meeting.
