Sindh govt requests to deploy Army during Muharram

KARACHI: The Sindh government has requested the federation to deploy Army in the province during the holy month of Muharram ul Haram, Geo News reported Wednesday.

According to the official sources, the provincial government has requested the federal government to station Army personnel in the sensitive and important areas of Sindh. In this regard, Home Ministry has sent a letter to the Defence and Interior Ministries.

On the other hand, the Sindh government has also decided to ban pillion riding from 9 to 10 Muharram in the province.
