SC to hear ECP appeal seeking delay in LB polls today

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court has accepted for hearing the review petition of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), seeking extension in the dates for holding local bodies elections in the four provinces, as it was not possible in the given situation, when among other factors, both Sindh and the Punjab were not ready for the mega exercise.

The apex court has issued notices to the Advocate Generals of Sindh, Balochistan and Punjab for hearing here today.
