KARACHI: Three people including two children were killed and five others injured in gas cylinder explosion in Clifton Karachi, Geo News reported Sunday.
Police said eight people including three children sustained injuries after a gas cylinder exploded due to leakage in a house in Neelam colony area. Two children and a man succumbed to injuries when they were being shifted to hospital.
Bomb disposal squad has also been called in for further investigation.
The victims were identified as 55-year old Ghulam Haider, 8-year old Sagheer and Chahat, 5.
SP Clifton Nadeem Ahmed said the blast occurred when the scrap that is brought to the house for storage was being melted.
Deputy Director Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) Dr. Seemi Jamali said three dead bodies and five injured were brought at the hospital.
