BANNU: Law enforcement personnel have arrested seven suspected terrorists in two separate raids in different parts of Bannu, officials said on Monday.

Weapons and explosive material was recovered from the arrested suspects, said officials of the Special Police Unit in Bannu.

In the first operation, law enforcement personnel conducted an operation in Miryan area, arresting a suspected terrorist and recovering three kilograms of explosive material from him.

Officials said the suspect hails from the Badhber area of Peshawar and is a member of a banned outfit.

The second raid was carried out at an under-construction building in Peerokhel area of Bannu, from where six suspected terrorists were held. Officials said 20 bombs, two kilograms explosive material, detonators, a Klashnikov rifle, and two pistol were recovered from the suspects.

The suspects hail from different areas of Bannu and the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA).
