LAHORE: Supreme Court Chief Justice, Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry on Tuesday ordered the additional defence secretary to present 35 missing persons by all means until one o’clock or else get ready to face the music, Geo News reported.

A three-member bench headed by the Chief Justice resumed the hearing of the missing persons case in the Supreme Court Registry here.

The CJ during the hearing expressed his annoyance over the defence secretary not appearing personally in the court.

Additional secretary defence told the court that that the secretary defence could not appear due to being ill.

CJ said if the defence secretary was ill then he should have taken sick leave and handed over the charge to some one else. He further directed additional secretary defence to recover the 35 missing persons and produce them before the court by all means as evidences are that these persons are with the military.

Get in touch with the prime minister, defence minister or any uniformed man and find out who would file the reply here, CJ directed.

Later, the Chief Justice ordered the additional defence secretary to produce the 35 missing persons by all means until one o’clock today and added failing which you know the consequences.
