NICL Scam: NAB to take action against own chairman

ISLAMABAD: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has announced that it will investigate and take action against its own chairman Qamar Zaman Chaudhry and others in the NICL scam case.

Acting NAB chairman, Saeed Ahmed Sargana has formed a joint investigation committee headed by Director General Operations Zahir Shah.

The team will launch an investigation against NAB chairman and Former Interior Secretary Qamar Zaman Chaudhry, Former Federal Minister Makhdoom Amin Fahim, Federal Secretary Nargis Sethi and Federal Tax Ombudsman Abdul Rauf Chaudhry.

The Supreme Court had ordered NAB to register cases against these individuals during the hearing of the NICL scam case. Following the Supreme Court orders, the NAB chairman went on leave for an indefinite period.
