Gen. Ishfaq Nadeem appointed as Chief of General Staff

RAWALPINDI: Newly appointed Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Raheel Sharif has made first appointment by appointing Lieutenant General Ishfaq Nadeem Ahmad as Chief of General Staff (CGS).

Before his promotion to the rank of Lieutenant General, General Ishfaq Nadeem Ahmad was Director General Military Operations (DGMO) for over two years.

He commanded a strike Infantry Division and led successful military operation in Swat. He has also been Chief of Staff of a strike Corps.
