Karachi police arrest eight ‘extortionists’

KARACHI: Police claimed to have arrested eight extortionists during raids in different parts of the city.

SSP SIU Farooq Awan said the accused were involved in several crimes including extortion in PIB colony, Gulshan Mamar and Defence areas of the city.

He said that the accused extorted money from school owners, traders and bank managers. Awan said that cases were lodged against the accused in different police stations of the city.
