KARACHI: At least six people including political and religious workers were killed in different areas of Karachi as the incidents of target killing are emerging again, Geo News reported.

According to reports, a worker of a political party was killed in Khuramabad area of Landhi. The deceased was identified as 40-year old Muhamamd Amir.

In a separate incident two people including a doctor were shot dead in Federal B Area.

According to police, unknown armed men opened fire on a clinic in Federal B Area Block-14, killing two persons identified as Dr Usman and Mufti Ahmed. Later, their bodies were shifted to a local hospital.

Ahl-e-Sunnat Wal Jamaat (ASWJ) spokesman said deceased Mufti Ahmed was their activist.

Police said the accused targeted Mufti Ahmed, however, doctor was also killed in the firing.

In another incident, firing by unknown men killed a worker of Awami National Party (ANP) near Super Highway.

The firing incident took place in Janjal Goth near Super Highway in which three persons were injured including an ANP worker identified as Din Muhammad Wazir. They were rushed to a local hospital where Din Muhammad Wazir succumbed to his wounds.


Meanwhile, a man and a woman were killed near Al-Asif square at Super Highway and Baldia town separately.
