LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has said that his party would not allow holding of the local bodies (LB) polls unless their transparency is guaranteed.

Addressing a PTI’s worker convention here Monday, Imran Khan said that the country could not enjoy fruits of democracy sans free and fair elections.

He said the PTI-led government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is the only government who sacked their allied ministers over corruption charges.

Imran predicted that LB elections in Punjab would not be transparent. He said the KP government would introduce biometric system in LB polls.

Earlier, Awami Muslim League Chief Sheikh Rahseed Ahmed also addressed the convention.
