COAS Raheel attends passing out parade of Baloch recruits

QUETTA: New Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif attended the passing out parade of Baloch recruits at EME centre in Quetta and equated the progress of Balochistan with the progress of Pakistan, Geo News reported Thursday.

The COAS paid tribute to the teachers and the trainers and hoped that it will bring peace to the province. While addressing from the passing out ceremony at EME centre, he said that Pakistan Army is aware of the fact that the progress of Balochistan is actually the progress of the country.

He expressed hope that the newly inducted recruits will discharge their responsibilities in the best possible manner and will safeguard the national interest.

General Raheel Sharif also presented a baton to a candidate for best overall performance.

Chief Minister Balochistan Dr Abdul Malik Baloch was also present at the event and said that the induction of Baloch recruits in the Pakistan Army will help in overcoming their sense of deprivation.
