Polio vaccination campaign begins in FATA

PESHAWAR: A three-day polio vaccination was launched in various areas of the Federally Administered Tribal Areas As many (FATA) on Thursday.

More than 2000 teams have been formed to administer polio drops to as many as 727,000 children aged below five years.

The polio vaccination campaign could not be carried out in North and South Waziristan over the past months and years due to volatile security situation.
