ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf on Thursday protested with the Ministry of Interior for what it said the withdrawal of its Chairman Imran Khan’s security protocol, Geo News reported.

“If something bad were to happen to Imran Khan, the Interior Ministry would be held responsible for it,” said PTI Vice Chairman, Shah Mehmood Qureshi.

He said Imran Khan was facing threats from extremists for launching a polio immunization campaign and termed the withdrawal of his security under the prevailing circumstances as worrying.

Qureshi said the enemies of state and nation could go to any length for causing harm to Imran Khan, who is the head of the country’s second largest party. Providing security to him is a responsibility of the Federal Government, he stressed.
