KARACHI: The opposition parties in Sindh have decided to make a grand electoral alliance for the upcoming Local Bodies polls.
Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML-F) and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has also decided to table resolution against the Local Government Amendment Ordinance.
The decisions are taken in a meeting of opposition parties at the residence of PML-N’s member of the Sindh Assembly Irfanullah Marwat.
Talking to media following the meeting, Marwat said that those who made law themselves are now visiting courts against their unjustified amendments.
MQM leader Syed Sardar Ahmed said that all the parties are united against the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) over the issue of amendment ordinance, adding that the opposition parties wanted to save Sindh province and its inhabitants.
PML-F member of the provincial assembly Jam Muhammad Ali said that PPP is trying to eliminate the role of opposition. He expressed hope that the judiciary would give them justice.
