ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court on Thursday withdrew contempt of court notice against Inspector General Frontier Corps (IGFC), Balochistan Major Gen. Ejaz Shahid in missing persons case, Geo News reported.
A three-member bench headed by Justice Nasirul Mulk was hearing the case here on Thursday.
The SC withdrew the contempt notice against IGFC Major Gen. Ejaz after he appeared before the court in person.
During the proceedings, Justice Ejaz Afzal asked IGFC counsel Irfan Qadir that the paramilitary was accused of missing the people. What measured FC had adopted in this regard, he added.
Irfan Qadir informed the court that they would present detailed written reply in the court pertaining to missing persons.
The IGFC said the name of Koh Khan was included in missing persons, however, police recovered him from Quetta.
Ejaz Shahid said six FC men were alleged for kidnapping Khan but his recovery by police proved this impression wrong that the paramilitary force was involved in abducting the people.
On this the court remarked that whatever he has to tell the court it should be presented in the form of report.
