Musharraf’s issue Pakistan’s internal matter: FO

ISLAMABAD: The Foreign Office spokesperson said in a briefing on Friday that issue of Pervez Musharraf is Pakistan’s internal matter and no other country has any role in this matter, Geo News reported.

The FO spokesperson Tasneem Aslam held a weekly briefing here today and told the media men that Saudi Foreign Minister’s visit was scheduled earlier and that it’s part of routine communication. She refuted all such claims that he is visiting Pakistan to play his role in Musharraf’s case.

During the briefing, Tasneem Aslam expressed her hopes that 2014 will prove to be a year of stability and peace in Afghanistan, and that Pakistan will continue to play its role in the Afghan peace process.

Moreover, she told that the matter of number of Pakistanis jailed in Indian prisons will also be discussed in the meeting.

The spokesperson further informed that missions in Ireland and Chile have been suspended.
