KARACHI: Seven suspected persons were apprehended when Rangers conducted raids in different areas of Karachi, Geo News reported Saturday.
According to the sources, Rangers personnel conducted raids in Sohrab Goth and Gulshan-e-Iqbal and rounded up seven suspects.
The held persons were interrogated about the Maskan Chowrangi incident where three persons were gunned down at a juice shop while five others sustained bullets wounds last night.
Police said eight people were injured in the firing. They were rushed to hospital where three were pronounced dead by the doctors.
The dead included two brothers, the sources added. The deceased were identified as Nadir, Abdul Wahid and Hussain Ali.
Panic gripped the area after the incident.
Also, five more people were killed today morning after which the death toll has reached to eight in less than 24 hours while protestors took to the streets against the killings in Gulshan-e-Iqbal and Nipa.
